Yard Sale Pt. 2

I have a feeling that this blog entry is going to be very sporadic.

1) So I said that I would upload some pictures from the yardsale....
well after I looked I realized that I accidently deleted them off my SD card, oh well.
Anyway, each of the team members got $20 deposited into our account after the yardsale to it was successful. It was also a success in the way that as a team we really got to bond and get to know each other.

2) We also had a coffee house at the Daily Grind, we raised about $400, so each of us got about $20 in our account. We are having another one on June 5th from 8pm-10pm at the Daily Grind.
3) That same day, which is June 5th, we are having a car wash at the Chick-fil-a on Dallas Highway from 8am-3pm. Feel free to stop by and get a free car wash, however we are accepting donations :)

4) Here is the link to the church in Scotand that we are hosting the camp through, http://www.pottershouseonline.co.uk/newcontent/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=63

5) Things You can Pray for...
  • unity as a team. that we would come together and be able to become a close team
  • finances. Personally, I have raised about $957, I need about $2200. Pray that I recieve that needed money as does the rest of my team members.
  • Scottish students. Pray that the Lord would begin to prepare the student's hearts in the time leading up to our trip. Also pray that the students that need to be at camp will feel that calling.
I added new headbands, so check 'em out and spread the word!!!

Yard Sale pt. 1

So we finally had the yardsale this past weekend at RS, it had been postponed twice. Our team did pretty well (about $300) and personally my family did well and I sold about 5 headbands and a bobbypin.

We also had a meeting this past Monday night. So far we have began planning the evening activities, which will be a movie night, an obstacle course, talent show, Christmas in July and the dance "Movie Characers." We have also began planning the fun impact groups, which vary from art (which is my group) to outdoor excursions.

This past Monday I also got a finance update. So far I have about $930 in my account, which means that I am almost halfway there. I am thankful to all of those who have supported me and I know that the Lord will continue to provide for me.

Well its late, and I need to go to bed but I'm going to upload some pics of the yardsale and new headbands later this week

Here It Goes...

I've officially joined the blogging world.

The main purpose of the blog (as of now) is to keep those who are supporting me in my trip to Scotland this summer updated. We'll see how it changes after the trip.

One of the ways that I am raising money for my trip is by selling these super super cute headbands. I think you should look at them, just click the tab at the top of the page labled HEADBANDS FOR SCOTLAND.

I'm hoping to update the blog after each of our team meetings.

So here is what has happened so far.

~ This past weekend we had a carwash at the Chick-fil-a on Dalls highway to help raise support. Needless to say it was a huge success, we raised over $1100 toward our trip.
~ We were supposed to have a yardsale this coming weekend at RiverStone church; however, due to the rain coming in this weeked it has been moved to May 1.

Until next time...
